The Utah Transit Authority was wise to listen to many concerned commuters and keep express bus route 472, which will provide daily trips across the Top of Utah to Salt Lake City and back.

William Perry Cottrell, 86, died March 8, 2010, at the home of his daughter. A viewing will be held Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by graveside services at 12:30 p.m., at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.

"Twenty five years ago I made a mistake that has now come back to haunt me.  I was 28-yrs old and I foolishly went hot-tubbing with a young woman nearly half my age.  Although we did not have any sexual contact, it was still clearly inappropriate -- and it was my fault.

(BETH SCHLANKER/Standard-Examiner) Geni Hyde, warming up outside the Layton Recreation Office on Wednesday, has organized the city's first-ever baseball and softball equipment exchange, scheduled for March 27 at Central Davis Jr. High School.

LAYTON -- Geni Hyde is stepping to the plate, hoping to hit a home run for area youth in need of equipment to play baseball or softball.

LAYTON -- When Mary Morgan-Burnett's cousin asked if she'd like to move into the home off East Gentile Street where her recently-deceased, beloved Aunt Oma lived for 50 years, Morgan-Burnett eagerly accepted.
