Anniversaries

Ken and Marie Read of Roy celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 25. They recently returned from a trip back East and Nauvoo, Ill., which commemorated his 80th birthday and their anniversary. They also went out to dinner with some family members.

Charles and Reba Allen of Washington Terrace celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Mount Ogden Grill.

Robert and Sandra Callister of Ogden will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner and open house hosted by their children on Sept. 11.

Joseph and Nancy Sapp of Kaysville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Wendover, Utah, where they claim they were gambling away their retirement checks and their grandchildrens' inheritance. They plan to celebrate with family and friends again in November on a cruise involving more gambling.

Grant and Arlene Miller of Roy celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary for four days at Laketown Lodge in Bear Lake with 49 of their family members.

Jimmie and Linda Chadbourne of Syracuse celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family in West Point.

Neil and Merrilyn Nelson of Bear River City will be honored for their 50th wedding anniversary. Friends and family may attend an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28, at the Bear River City Chapel, 5870 N. 4700 West.
