(UNEDITED)First of all, I am a non-smoker, and am thankful I am. My sympathies go to those who have chosen to do so, as they will probably pay the price in one way or another in the future. However, taxing them for this choice is totally wrong. Many writers have expressed various means and ways the state could generate revenue, such as taxing white shirts, large families, jello, obesity, etc. Of course, it is obvious as to who they are referring to here. Other suggestions as to whom or what should be taxed have also been suggested. It is not unlawful to wear white shirts, have large families, eat jello, overeat, etc. Why tax those who are not breaking the law? How about taxing those who are?
