Adamson: National TV games only mess up high school football

I used to make fun of "old-timers" who would shake their heads at the sight of progress -- or at least how we younger folks defined progress. What they thought was ridiculous we thought was simply the way things were. Well, now that I'm getting closer to "old-timer" status myself I'm starting to shake my head, too. And it's this whole high school sports on ESPN-thing that bothers me.

LAYTON -- He was everywhere, making plays all over the field.

"Brock Johnson is one tough little nut," Northridge coach Erik Thompson said. "He was over there telling me which plays we should run, and over half the plays were his."
